UPDATE - CERF HAS GIVEN NEW DIRECTIVES TO EYE VETS ON HOW TO REPORT PIGMENT!  * Venture had an Axial Post Capsular opacity (pigment on the lens) - not significant marked on her eye exam (the examiner clearly stated it was NOT a cataract) however when CERF received the exam they coded it as a punctate cataract - significance unknown.  This is the third incidence where a GP has had a notation of pigment on the lens and been cleared of cataracts by the examiner.  Two of these dogs were sent CERF certificates with a Breeder Option - Punctate cataract while the third one was passed and received a clear CERF.  Breeders Beware - keep copies of your actual exam before mailing the original to CERF!
