My focus has always been on being a breeder of true merit producing exceptional dogs for show and companionship.  Puppies and planned litters always take priority over dog shows.  I show very selectively in good competition, choose to show only the very best, and when we're expecting puppies you won't see me out in the ring, however, I will post news on all the Oakwood kids out across North America and in Europe.  So, check back often.

GINGER - NEW CHAMPION - April - now expecting puppies! 

RUBY - OFA Excellent Hips!  

We're out showing from late January through February, then we are back at home for Rain's puppies.  Rain is the half-sister to our two-time Westminster Best of Breed winner Lukas!  Reds and Black and Tans expected March 14th!

February 17-19: Greenville, SC - Friday Luger is Winners Dog/Best of Winners to finish his championship and Ruby is Winners Bitch/Best of Opposite Sex, also to finish!  Stella won Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex to pull a point off the boys and Luger was Select Dog for his first points towards his Grand CH.  Sunday was a repeat of Saturday's results.  Another good weekend for the Oakwood crew, good company and great NY Pizza, Calzones and Cannoli!

February 11-12:  No shows for me but Lukas, Max, Genie, Phranklin are all at Westminster!  Good luck kids!  LUKAS BEST OF BREED (again!), PHRANKLIN AND GENIE GET THE AWARD OF MERITS!  I am so proud!!!  

February 4-5:  We entered in St. Josephs, MO but ended up staying home.  The dogs came home from Charleston with a stomach bug.  I installed my new stove instead ;o)

January 28-29: We enjoyed beautiful Charleston, SC for the German Pinscher Club of America's Supported Entry show.  Madonna was Best of Breed, Devil (Oakwood V Kaitler Devil Went Down to Georgia) was Best of Opposite Sex/Best of Winners/Winners Dog for a 5 point major, Ruby (Oakwoods Animal Cracker) was Winners Bitch and Lugar (Oakwoods Secret Agent) was Reserve Winners Dog. Koby (Ch SD Simbas Ebony Pride, CD, RN) - sire of our latest litter with Zoobie was Select Dog.  Our Fabulous foundation bitch - the 8 year old Am/Aust Ch Kaitler Mind Over Matter was Best of Breed Veteran and Veteran Working Group 4!  On Sunday the 29th Madonna was Select Bitch, Lover (Revival SD Red Hot Lover was Winners Dog for a 3 point major and Ruby was Winners Bitch/Best of Winners also for a major.  Koby was Best of Opposite Sex and completed his grand championship.  A great time was had by all!

January 21-22: We headed to sunny and warm Brooksville Florida and Lugar - Oakwoods Secret Agent won two majors (4 points Saturday and 5 points on Sunday).  Lover - Revival SD Red Hot Lover (bred by Judy Vandervort and myself) was Reserve Winners Dog.  Stella - Daverens Stellar Performance was Reserve Winners Bitch January 21 and Madonna started her specials career with two Best of Opposite Sex wins for 2 Grand Champion majors!
